Family

Family and Relationship coaching is all about interpersonal relationships. A Family coach can assist you with your most important relationships. This includes your relationships at work, too.

Family coaching offers a wide variety of coaching assistance:

  • Siblings
  • Coworkers and Employers
  • Employees
  • Clients

The most important tools in any relationship are communication and acceptance. This is true for significant others, siblings, parents, children, friends, and coworkers.

Couples Coaching

Couples who fail to talk with each other will grow distant.

Have you ever noticed miscommunication with your partner? Have you or your partner ever said, “that’s not what I said!” That’s because we have a habit of listening from the past. We are so sure what the other person is going to say we unconsciously stop listening.

Did you know that there are fundamental differences between men and women? Of course we are different physically, but we are also different in how we relate to the world. This is because we use our brains very differently.

Men tend to focus on one task at a time and are more project-oriented while women tend to prefer multitasking and can have several projects going at the same time.

This difference causes confusion in relationships because our needs are very different. Couples tend to grow apart if they can’t embrace these differences.

Coaching Teens or Parents of a Teenager

Teens have much more pressure than we ever realize. They are dealing with their changing bodies, emotions, and desires as well as the changing dynamics within their friendships and peer groups.

They push boundaries and make mistakes, argue with adults, experiment with drugs and/or alcohol, and try to be adults while still enjoying the protection of being taken care of.

Their behaviors are, for the most part, a normal part of growing up. They are discovering who they are in relation to the world and their family. They are trying on different attitudes and beliefs.

This is an important process, but sometimes teens can get derailed and need assistance (even if it is the last thing they want).

Sometimes the parents have trouble letting go. Who wants to see their child stumble or fall? But stumbling and falling are just what these young adults need to better understand their environment-particularly if they have parents who can be there to help them through it without judgment.

Coaching teens and/or parents can help smooth out the rough spots.

Coaching Children and Their Parents

We all want our kids to be happy and healthy. However, life sometimes gets in the way.

Children suffer through injuries, illness, divorce, loss of a loved one, peer pressure, school pressure, and more.

Coaching children is the perfect way to keep them on an even keel and to help them heal from trauma.

Coaching for Siblings and Parents

In a perfect world we all get along with our family members. Unfortunately, this is not always true.

If you are having difficulty with Siblings or your parents, coaching can help you understand your relationship with them and provide real help in determining the underlying issues.

Family Relationships can be some of the most difficult-not only because we don’t get to choose our family members, but also because we have developed a sense of identity with them (and sometimes even a pecking order).

It can be difficult to recognize this identity. It can be even more difficult to change it-particularly when around your family.

Coaching can illuminate the false identities you have created and offer an opportunity to finally move beyond them.

Coworkers, Employees, Clients, and Employers

Some of the most challenging relationships can be found in the workplace. There are so many dynamics at work and so many personalities to navigate.

Coaching can help you come to terms with your work environment and can help your professional relationships thrive through understanding and acceptance.

Get clear on your own workplace dynamics and then get clear on everyone elses with minimal effort.
